Liquid-liquid equilibrium data of the various ternary systems of water+propionic acid+solvent(s) have been correlated with some important activity coefficient models containing Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC models by using the PRO/II computer program. The solvents which have been considered in this work were methyl butyl ketone, methyl propyl ketone, isobutyl ketone, isopropyl ketone, methyl ethyl ketone, and 1-buthanol. Temperature range was between 25-55 ºC. Although all of these activity
coefficient models gave satisfactory correlation factors, but the UNIQUAC model provides the best fitting between the experimental data and calculated results.
