Ground level ozone, as the most important component of photochemical pollution, is intensively monitored during past decades at many urban, rural and remote locations. Owing to these measurements, we have today decades of continuously monitored ozone data from many different locations, which enable successful application of Fourier transformation on them. This procedure transforms data from the time into the frequency domain, where periodicities in the data set can better be observed and analyzed. The data set of eleven years of hourly averaged ozone volume ratios measured at the Puntijarka station above Zagreb will be used as an example.
